HOW CAN WE HELP?

DEFENDER

Most coaches simply need their contract reviewed and an opportunity to speak with a lawyer who can answer their questions and ensure their interests are protected. For these coaches we offer the Defender option.

ADVOCATE

Some coaches need a full consultation, their contract reviewed, and a lawyer to make proposed revisions to the contract for the coach to take back to the organization to ensure their interests are protected. For these coaches we offer the Advocate option.

TEAMMATE

A few coaches need to hire an advocate to engage in contract review, revisions, and participate in negotiations through the contract process. For these coaches we offer the Teammate option which includes retaining our services on an hourly basis.

We’re the largest law firm in the nation dedicated exclusively to representing employees, not employers, and we know athletic employment contracts.

We’ve been bringing transparency and understanding to college coaching contracts for years. In fact, we built a database of the highest paid college coaches in the country to track trends and understand how universities are compensating coaches. Then, we did something unprecedented: made the entire thing publicly available including our contract analysis. What started as a hobby has been integrated into our nationwide employment practice.

We know the law, we know coaching contracts, and we’re here to serve and protect your interests.

Whether you’re negotiating private jet hours or a vehicle stipend, you need a lawyer who understands coaching contracts. The business side of sports no longer allows you to rely on your brother’s friend’s uncle for legal advice.

If you need to understand the terms of your existing contract, prepare for contract renewal, or negotiate a new deal altogether, we are your trusted counsel.
