Ms. Rafferty is a partner in the New York offices of HKM Employment Attorneys. She has spent her entire legal career litigating in federal court on behalf of working people. Ms. Rafferty has extensive experience in complex litigation, including class and collective actions, as well as individual and mass arbitrations with parallel federal actions. Ms. Rafferty has represented clients working across many different industries, from tech and finance to trucking and food product distribution, and from entertainment industry workers to restaurant workers and home health aides. She has helped her clients litigate against many of the most prominent and most powerful companies in the country, and she has successfully secured positive results for her clients against employers large and small.
Ms. Rafferty graduated among the top of her class from Savannah Law School, after which she served as a law clerk to Hon. Alvin W. Thompson, United States District Judge for the District of Connecticut. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Rafferty worked in the performing arts as an actor, singer, stage director, and theatre educator. She holds a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre from Shenandoah Conservatory.
Ms. Rafferty is admitted to practice in the State of New York, as well as the federal courts in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the Western District of Michigan, the Eastern District of Wisconsin, the District of Colorado, the Northern District of Iowa, and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. In addition, Ms. Rafferty has practiced pro hac vice in several other federal courts across the country.
