Employment Law Attorney
Ms. Norgaard is a seasoned trial attorney with nearly 17 years of litigation and trial experience. She represents employees in all aspects of employment litigation, with a particular focus on claims involving employment discrimination, sexual harassment, and wrongful termination.
Ms. Norgaard is a Seattle native who obtained her BA from University of Washington and her JD from Seattle University School of Law. From law school, Ms. Norgaard joined the King County Prosecutor’s Office, where she served for 14 years. During her tenure, Ms. Norgaard handled more than 60 jury trials and an additional 30 criminal appeals. As a Senior Deputy Prosecuting Attorney, she handled some of the office’s most serious offenses involving domestic violence, sexual assault, robbery, aggravated assault, and murder. From 2011 through 2016, Ms. Norgaard also served as the Unit Chair for the PAO’s District Court Unit, where she managed, trained, and developed the PAO’s incoming deputy prosecuting attorneys in all aspects of trial and courtroom practice.
In 2017, Ms. Norgaard transitioned to civil practice and joined HKM, where she advocates for the rights of employees on workplace issues and disputes through all phases of litigation, trial, and appeal.
