Gian Fanelli

Gian Fanelli is an Attorney in HKM’s Washington, DC office. He has a wide variety of experience, especially in labor and employment law, employee benefits law, and litigation.

Most recently, Gian worked as in-house counsel at Toast, Inc. He has also worked as Special Assistance Corporation Counsel for the City of New York.

Gian began his legal career handling plaintiff’s side employment law matters in New York. He loved it so much that after a detour he decided to return to representing plaintiffs.

Gian earned a bachelor’s degree from the Berklee College of Music in Boston, an MBA from the SDA Bocconi School of Management in Milan, Italy, and his JD from the University of Minnesota.

On a more personal note, he has a passion for languages and thus speaks several.
