Preston Spicer is a law clerk for the HKM Cincinnati office. Preston’s primary focus is helping individuals navigate the claims of workplace discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, violations of the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), unpaid wages, whistleblower, and other employment disputes at the trial and appellate level.
Preston completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Louisville and completed his Juris Doctor degree at the University of Louisville’s Brandeis School of Law. During his legal education, he completed two judicial externships with the Jefferson County Circuit Court, gaining valuable insight into judicial perspectives and priorities.
Additionally, Preston gained experience working for two private law firms and served as an editor for the Journal of Law and Education. Upon passing the Kentucky Bar Exam in 2022, Preston commenced his legal career advocating for workers’ rights.
He firmly believes that employment is not solely about income, but also about personal dignity. This understanding, reinforced by his professional experience, motivates Preston to assist individuals in rebuilding the dignity often compromised in challenging employment situations.
