Evelyn Doran advocates for employees exercising their rights and protections in the workplace, primarily litigating discrimination, sexual harassment, disability accommodation, whistleblower retaliation, wage & hour disputes, and employee benefits entitlements. Evelyn has also helped represent plaintiffs in class action matters brought under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act, assisting in the recovery of millions of dollars of mismanaged employee 401k investments.
While attending the University of Minnesota Law School, Evelyn worked in several renowned plaintiff-side employment law firms in the Twin Cities, eventually earning concentrations in Labor and Employment Law and Civil Litigation. She was also an active contributor to the University’s scholarly publications, serving as Lead Managing Editor for the Minnesota Journal of Law & Inequality, publishing an article on the evolving landscape of the rights of ministerial employees, and contributing to research on employee intellectual property rights and workplace safety in healthcare settings.
Evelyn is a near-native Minnesotan, having grown up in Seattle before moving to the Twin Cities area in her teenage years, where she stayed for college, law school, and her legal career. In her free time, Evelyn enjoys participating in amateur boxing, playing flute in a community orchestra, competing in weekly trivia with her friends, and reading.
