Marcela Jimenez Rodriguez

Ms. Jimenez Rodriguez graduated from the City University of New York School of Law in 2023. Following her graduation, she became a Columbia Law School Public Interest Fellow at the National Center for Law and Economic Justice (NCLEJ), where she had interned since 2022. At NCLEJ, Ms. Jimenez supported civil and disability rights cases nationwide.

During her time in law school, she collaborated with community-led organizations through the Community Economic Development Clinic, providing legal assistance on entity formation, employment issues, and other operational challenges.

Prior to her legal career, Ms. Jimenez worked as an organizer and researcher for UNITE HERE Local 100. In this role, she assisted union members in grievance proceedings, conducted policy research, and played a part in organizing United Airlines’ catering workers at Newark Liberty International Airport.
