Mark Hudspeth was named Head Football Coach of the University of Louisiana, Lafayette in 2010. Prior to this he served as Passing Coordinator at Mississippi State for two seasons from 2009-2010. Before that he acted as Assistant Coach for three years at Delta State (1999-2000) and Navy (2001). Hudspeth earned his first full-time coaching position when he went to Nicholls State, coaching the Wide Receivers and Tight Ends in 1994.

Written notice + Up to $750,000 depending upon the year of Resignation + 1 year no contact with juniors or seniors who are contacted or recruited by university
Upto $2,000,000 depending on the year of Termination
Automobile/$6,000 Allowance+$2,400 towards Coach's Minor children Education Trust+25 Game Tickets+300 Tickets for Promoting and Marketing+Standard Benefits
Coach to take prior approval for any outside empolyment and a detail of any and all income earned from outside employment shall be provided to the University annually. Coach not to contact or seek to recruit any athlete recruited by the University for a period of 1 Year from the date of Termination Notice.
