Kliff Kingsbury was named Head Football Coach at Texas Tech in 2012. Before this he served as Offensive Coordinator and Quarterback's Coach at Texas A&M for the 2012 season. Prior to this he served at the University of Houston as Co-Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks Coach from 2008-2011. He played the position of Quarterback with several NFL Teams, including New England Patriots (2003), New Orleans Saints (2004) and the New York Jets (2005).

$50,000 for the average paid attendance at home football games+$5,000 as athletic apparel bonus+Rights fees for outside athletics related income upto $3,800,000 depending on the year
Highest Possible Academic Bonus:
If goes to another Division 1 school or a professional football team, up to $3,250,000 depending on the year and the University which the Coach chooses to join upon termination of employment
Up to full remaining unpaid base salary, or 75%, or 50%, depending on the year
Membership and related payments for the Country club+Membership in the Jerry S Rawls golf course and Texas Tech Club+Football stadium suite+40 tickets to each University home football game+4 season tickets in the stadium bowl+20 tickets to each University away football game and any bowl game in which the University participates+Life insurance policy of $5,000,000+3 guests shall travel with University football team to away football games in charter aircrafts
The rights fees for outside athletic related income of the Coach includes the income for uniform/clothing contract; Shoe/equipment contract; Apparel contracts; Coaches TV shows; Pre-game, post-game and other radio or internet shows; Speaking arrangements arranged through university; Merchandising contracts; Other income revised by coach resulting from or otherwise arising out of being the Head Football coach at the University, but not including sports camps.
